County staff said the project represents roughly a $140,000,000 investment in Wayne County, with plans for 330 new jobs and an anticipated average wage of about $72,000 a year. A company representative told the board civil work and pilings are underway and the project has begun initial hiring, with about 30 employees already onboarded toward the 330 target.
County leaders framed the recognition as a milestone for local economic development, thanking private and public partners including regional agencies, educational institutions and utility partners for facilitating the expansion. Commissioners said projects of this scale strengthen the local economy and create opportunities for residents.
The board presented a plaque to the company during the meeting and offered thanks for continued local investment; no formal action beyond recognition was required.
