Umpqua Golf Management notifies Myrtle Creek it will end golf-course contract

City Administrator Pro Tem Zach Potter told the council that on Oct. 20 the city received notice from Umpqua Golf Management indicating the company would like to end its contract to operate the Myrtle Creek golf course. Potter said he and Mayor Luke Dillon will follow up with the management team.
No timetable, reason for termination, or contingency plan for operations was provided in the meeting record. The council did not vote on any contract action during the meeting.
