Richford plans Aug. 1 paving after receiving grant; No. Branch Road culvert work funded

Town Clerk Kiley Deuso told the board a paving grant was received and given to Selectman Steinhour. The highway report noted ongoing mowing and grading, active culvert work on No. Branch Road and cleanup of a previously reported gas leak while the town awaits test results.
Officials said the new grant is intended to support culvert work on No. Branch Road. The board did not specify contract awards or a construction schedule beyond the Aug. 1 start date. Kiley Deuso said she is also exploring a peddler permit for a vendor who would sell frozen treats from a tow-behind trailer at Fountain Park and at sports events, with a possible $50 fee; the board approved further investigation of the permit.
