Jason Wetherby reported that mowing and grading continue around town and that road work to the reservoir is underway. He said a gas leak cleanup is scheduled for Wednesday with an estimated cost of approximately $16,000.
Wetherby and the board discussed traffic-calming measures. Speed bumps on Green Avenue will remain in place; a speed bump on North Avenue did not resolve the issues there and the town may install one on Dewey Street pending discussions with neighboring towns and potential grant availability. Jason was tasked with checking with other towns about their experience and the town will investigate grant options.
No votes were recorded on additional speed bumps at this meeting.
