Councilor Bill Akin moved to adopt the Employee Handbook 2016; Councilor Peny Wallace seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. Fitzpatrick will implement the handbook and ensure city personnel practices reflect the updated legal landscape.
The handbook adoption places the City’s personnel policies in alignment with recent state law changes and gives staff authority and guidance to administer employment practices accordingly. Staff recorded follow-up tasks for implementation and distribution to employees.
