Mosier — During its May 18, 2016, meeting, the Mosier City Council approved several administrative items and discussed logistics for an incoming film permit request and the November election schedule.
City Manager Kathy Fitzpatrick asked the council to allow the city manager to review an application for the Rock Park Host position and to permit that Park Host to sell season passes. Council President Emily Reed moved the approval; Councilor Peny Wallace seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The council also approved Resolution 2016-04 (CIS Volunteer) on a unanimous vote after Reed moved and Wallace seconded. On equipment surplus, Councilor Peny Wallace moved to approve Resolution 2016-06; Councilor Bill Akin seconded. Fitzpatrick noted staff may decide to retain one item (a weed whacker); the resolution passed unanimously.
Fitzpatrick reported the city office had received a film permit request and suggested handling the request through the Special Event permit process while researching practices used by other jurisdictions. Fitzpatrick also summarized the November election schedule and the August 30 filing deadline for measures and candidates.
