Council accepts treasurer's report, extends Republic Services contract and confirms forestry appointment

Alderman Gregory raised constituent complaints about Republic Services' residential service but staff clarified this contract covers city facility hauling; the motion passed 9-0.
On appointments, council placed ordinance 2026-338 on final passage and unanimously approved the appointment of Robert Mueller to the Springfield Urban Forestry Commission (9 yes, 0 no).
