Waterford Township Board approves $3.1 million in bills, extends contracts for 2026–27

The Waterford Township Board of Education approved several finance and contract items during its June 17, 2026 meeting, including a bills list of $3,095,877.69 and vendor agreements needed for district operations in 2026–27.

Board member Jason Galante moved to approve the business items and Rosemarie Hunter seconded; the motion carried on a roll-call vote. The approvals included certifications required by statute (18A:17-9 and N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-16.10), monthly financial reports, and the payment of listed claims.

Key contracts approved for the coming school year included network support from DLC Technology (Tier 3 network support, $45,975) and an insurance contract with New Jersey School Insurance Group ($277,301). The board also authorized continuing services from vendors under state contracts (Northeast Mechanical) and broadband service from Comcast ($46,200 for the contract period). The approved purchases included a Title I/RtI subscription (IXL Learning, $12,187.50) and associated professional development ($1,995).

The board approved multiple tuition contracts for out-of-district placements (amounts vary by student and program) and transportation arrangements for students placed in neighboring districts. A shared-services agreement with the Shamong Board of Education for business-office services was also authorized.

Board members did not debate the bulk of the items at length in the public record; motions to approve were presented as packaged agenda items and passed by roll call. The meeting record shows no public objections during the finance portion of the agenda.
