RRPC tells Proctor selectboard to add subdivision rules to zoning under ACT 250 changes

At the Selectboard meeting on Aug. 12, Devon Neary of the Rutland Regional Planning Commission presented changes to Vermont’s ACT 250 program and told Proctor officials the town should add subdivision regulations to its zoning code to comply with the new statutory framework.
Neary provided a handout to Selectboard members and described the legislative changes as requiring municipal-level regulation of subdivisions. The Selectboard directed the Planning Commission to update the zoning regulations and asked Selectboard members to review the regulations and submit suggested edits for consideration at the first September meeting.
No vote was recorded on an ordinance change at the Aug. 12 meeting; the Planning Commission will draft proposed revisions for future hearings and formal consideration.
