Mosier City Council adopts parks SDC methodology after public hearing; routine motions pass unanimously

The Mosier City Council unanimously approved Resolution #2016-02 on April 20 after a brief public hearing and no public testimony.

Council President Emily Reed opened the hearing on Resolution #2016-02, intended to clarify how the city calculates parks System Development Charges, at 7:23 p.m. She closed the hearing at 7:26 p.m. after receiving no testimony. Councilor Derek Hiser moved to approve the resolution; Councilor Bill Akin seconded; the motion carried unanimously.

At the same meeting the council moved and approved several routine items: Councilor Bill Akin moved and Councilor Derek Hiser seconded approval of the minutes from April 6, 2016; Councilor Derek Hiser moved and Councilor Bill Akin seconded approval of the March financial packet. Both motions passed unanimously.

Council also approved a temporary OLCC liquor license for an event at Mosier Place April 29–30 (a Quincho event) after a motion by Councilor Akin and a second by Councilor Hiser; that motion passed unanimously.
