The Miltona Township Board of Supervisors accepted the township audit and the treasurer's report at its Feb. 18, 2025 meeting. Chair Jerome Haggenmiller and supervisors reviewed account balances before voting to accept the books and the treasurer's report.
The audit, presented and accepted during a separate audit meeting that began at 7:31 p.m., reported total cash of $532,737.13. The auditors listed the balances as Checking $1,964.12; Money Market $1,002.46; and IntraFi $529,770.41, with no certificate of deposit. The board also recorded fund balances: General $58,861.10; Road $17,005.88; Fire $19,798.88; Gopher $1,953.31; Chloride $12,182.58; E Lake Miltona Bond $10,599.46; STR/MBR Bond $146,339.73; and SSD Bond $265,996.19.
During the regular meeting the treasurer reported checking $88,440.80, Money Market $1,002.72 and an IntraFi balance of $447,115.81, which the board accepted by motion. The board approved payment of bills totaling $4,605.97 by a 3-0 vote.
Supervisors Thomas A. Blank and Brent Boesl attended a Fire Board meeting where the proposed 2026 fire budget was presented. The minutes record Miltona Township's share as $83,467 of a $120,000 budget (69.15%). The board did not take separate final action on the overall fire budget at the Feb. 18 meeting but noted the township share during discussion.
The audit meeting motion to accept the books passed 3-0. The audit meeting adjourned at 7:54 p.m.; the regular meeting adjourned at 7:29 p.m.
