Scott Brooks, the town Road Commissioner, recommended hiring the Chittenden County Sheriff's Office to enforce local speed limits. Brooks said the sheriff's program includes public education and that the hourly rate would be $80, which would also allow the town to use the sheriff's flashing radar sign. The board discussed possible revenue splits and the option of renting flashing radar signs instead.
Adam Dantzscher moved to table the contract discussion until the next Selectboard meeting in April to allow time for further investigation; Joel Colf seconded. The motion to table passed unanimously.
