The Skowhegan Economic Development Corporation on April 14 authorized Director Bryan Belliveau to sign a month-to-month lease with Cate Conway for a 206-square-foot office at the Renaissance Center for $464 per month. The board passed the motion on a vote after a recommendation from Reid Gibson; Christian Savage seconded the motion.
Conway, introduced to the board by Bryan Belliveau, said she is a newly licensed counselor seeking flexible monthly terms. Belliveau told the board the space has access to restrooms and a security system. Chair Matt DuBois noted that a downtown police substation will increase officer visibility and that an e-bike patrol will be used during peak times, which he said would further enhance safety in the building.
The authorization directs the director to execute the lease; the minutes do not record additional lease terms such as a security deposit or an exact lease start date. The action was taken as part of the meeting’s new-business agenda and followed standard motion and vote procedures.
