Alanson council accepts two DDA resignations; discusses DPW raise request and pays bills

Deputy Clerk Craig Wilson informed the council that DDA board members Gail Greenwell and Charles Rehmann had submitted letters of resignation. President Jamie Breithaupt moved to accept the resignations; Trustee Wayne McPhall seconded and the council approved the motion 4-0.
Street Commissioner Jason Losey reported that snow removal was underway and that DPW employee Kevin Phillips requested a $1-per-hour raise after covering shifts during an ice storm. Breithaupt said he would consult the township about the request and review it again after Phillips obtains a commercial driver’s license.
Trustee Scott Latva moved to pay the current monthly bills; Trustee Mark Fairbairn seconded and the council approved the motion 4-0. President Breithaupt moved to adjourn; the council voted 4-0 and adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
