Several councilors raised safety concerns about sight distance at Sanborn & 1st (near the lumber yard) and suggested adding supplemental signage or removing obstructing trees to improve visibility. Councilor Jim moved, and Terry seconded, to change the indicated intersections to yields as an experiment. The motion passed on a roll call; council asked staff to monitor the intersections and to be prepared to restore stop signs if safety complaints increase. Staff also was directed to order truck‑crossing signs and to discuss parking locations with businesses near the affected corners.
