Brooklyn Park council approves consent items, license and bond host approval in unanimous votes

At its June 23 meeting the Brooklyn Park City Council unanimously approved a slate of consent and action items spanning infrastructure, procurement, permits and routine approvals.
Among the items adopted: a resolution to award Key’s Well Drilling Company the replacement of Municipal Well #22; authorization to accept a supplemental letter from WSB Engineering to implement a Minnesota Pollution Control Agency grant for PFAS drinking-water planning and treatment design; proposals and amendments for design and bidding services for the Winnetka Avenue / Rush Creek regional trail underpass (Bolton & Menk); Change Order #1 for the 2025 street overlay project; and authorization for a temporary on-sale liquor license for St. Gerard’s Corn Fest (August 8–9, 2025).
The Council approved a conditional use permit for a religious institution and a rectory at 8700 Wyoming Ave N and authorized the purchase of furniture for Zanewood Recreation Center from Fluid Interiors in the amount of $79,879.27. The Council also approved Resolution #2025-107 authorizing donation of used police equipment to the Liberian National Police after a briefing from Police Chief Mark Bruley; Chief Bruley said Liberian representatives would retrieve the donations and cover shipping and taxes.
In separate public-hearing items the Council granted host approval for conduit charter-school lease revenue bonds for Athlos Leadership Academy under Minnesota Statutes sections 469.152–469.1655 (Resolution #2025-111) and approved an on-sale wine and 3.2 malt liquor license for Si Senor Kitchen, 8582 Edinburgh Centre Drive North (motion Klonowski, second Eriksen; unanimous).
All roll-call votes reported in the transcript for these items were unanimous in favor.
