The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Pro Tem Xp Lee at the Brooklyn Park Council Chambers, 5200 85th Avenue North. Present were Mayor Pro Tem Xp Lee and Council Members Maria Tran, Christian Eriksen, Tony McGarvey and Nicole Klonowski. Mayor Hollies Winston and Council Member Morson were listed as absent. City Manager Jay Stroebel and City Attorney Jim Thomson were also noted as present.
City Clerk Devin Montero briefed the council on the canvass for the Nov. 5 City General Election and introduced Resolution No. 2024-168, which would formally canvass and record the election results. Council Member Nicole Klonowski moved to waive the reading and adopt the resolution; Council Member Christian Eriksen seconded the motion.
Mayor Pro Tem Xp Lee called for a roll-call vote. The motion passed unanimously with recorded yes votes from Maria Tran, Nicole Klonowski, Christian Eriksen, Tony McGarvey and Xp Lee. No no-votes or abstentions were recorded; two members were absent.
By consensus the council adjourned the special meeting at 5:09 p.m. The meeting record includes signature lines for Mayor Pro Tem Xp Lee and City Clerk Devin Montero.
