The Southwest Deltona Community Redevelopment Agency voted 5–0 Monday to adopt Resolution 2026-49, approving the agency’s budget for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2026, and directing the city manager or designee to submit the plan to Volusia County and the Deltona City Commission.
The resolution was read aloud by the city attorney before Vice Mayor Veil Vasquez moved to adopt it and Commissioner Santiago seconded the motion. A city staff member confirmed the proposed budget includes an annual grants line item of “$145,000 and change.” The staff member also said a grant awarded earlier this year — described during the meeting as supporting a doctor’s office — was charged to the current year’s budget.
The vote was conducted verbally by roll call; the chair announced the motion passed, 5–0. After the vote the chair asked for any further board comments, received none and adjourned the meeting.
The resolution directs the city manager or designee to submit the adopted CRA budget to Volusia County and the Deltona City Commission for their respective approvals. The record does not state the total dollar amount of the full CRA budget beyond the grants line item, nor does it specify any additional implementation steps or timelines beyond submission to those bodies.
