Linda Schmidt moved to appoint Stevens; John Phelps seconded, and all board members voted in favor. The board directed that the vacancy and appointment be posted on town message boards.
Board members also discussed a short-term training arrangement: Joe Nolan said he would speak with Robin Wilcox and offer $30 per hour to train Stevens.
