The Wolfeboro Select Board on April 22 amended its draft committee assignments and approved availability constraints for a member who cannot attend morning meetings.
At the meeting Chair called for comments on a draft committee list of members who had volunteered or been assigned. Members corrected O'Brien's end of term and discussed availability conflicts affecting the bike-trails committee; John said he could not attend 9 a.m. meetings and would be available only in the afternoon.
Following discussion, the board voted to amend the list: O'Brien's end-of-term was changed (removing 2028 and setting it to 2027), Thurston was removed from the bike-trails committee, and Murray and Deshais were added to that committee. The motion to approve the amended committee roster was moved and seconded and carried by voice vote.
The board also agreed on a formal note about member availability for committee meetings. The chair read the agreed language aloud: “Mister Thurston cannot attend meetings until after 3PM.” That time restriction was accepted by the board as the member's minimum availability and will be noted on committee rosters so staff and other members know when committees should schedule meetings.
Board members discussed operational follow-ups: providing a briefing to John on bike-trails work and ensuring committee materials (meeting schedules, whether committees receive town funding) are clearly marked for quarterly reporting. The board asked staff to circulate the finalized committee list and to attach any referenced documents to committee packets.
The decision is administrative and did not change committee charters; it updates assignments and clarifies scheduling expectations. The board moved on to other rules and policy items after the vote.
