At its Sept. 16 regular meeting the Oelrichs School District 23-3 board accepted unaudited financial reports and authorized payment of invoiced claims.
The minutes list several fund balances: a General Fund ending balance of $229,243.59, a Capital Outlay balance of $450,844.16, a Special Education balance of $49,719.27, an Impact Aid balance of $6,958,803, and a Food Service balance of $37,884.67. The motion to accept the financial reports was made by Dave Osmotherly and seconded by Lance Tlustos.
The board approved a contract with Weathercraft Co. to complete the elementary school roof for $63,346 (motion by Katie Merdanian; second by Lance Tlustos) and engaged ELO CPA's & Advisors for FY24 financial auditing services at $22,000 plus out‑of‑pocket costs (motion by Tlustos; second Merdanian).
The board authorized a propane pre‑buy of 15,000 gallons from CBH at $2.35 per gallon (motion by Osmotherly; second Tlustos). It also declared a Vulcan convection steamer surplus for trade or sale with a minimum price of $4,000 and approved paying Terri Corney $25 per hour to assist with a food service review and provide continued support to the program.
All vendor and contract motions were recorded as carried in the minutes.
