Wymore council approves routine business, reviews dilapidated-building bid plans and postpones pool-rate decision

The Wymore City Council took several routine actions on May 20, approving the minutes of its previous meeting and the treasurer's report, and approving claims and payroll. Council first approved claims and payroll excluding check #31230, then later approved check #31230; the latter vote carried 3-0 with Councilmember Curt Oblinger recorded as abstaining.
City Attorney Andrew Carothers reported that Tim Lottman had inspected dilapidated downtown buildings and will submit a bid to remove and dispose of them; Attorney Carothers said he will inform the council when that bid arrives.
The council reviewed pool-party rates and deposits using comparative lists from Marysville, Tecumseh and Beatrice but voted to postpone a decision until the park board meets (motion by Neil Van Boening, seconded by Sue Sapp; carried 4-0). The meeting record notes summer help had been arranged before the meeting and did not require discussion.
Motion to adjourn was made by Councilmember Sue Sapp; the meeting ended at 8:55 p.m.
