The Wymore City Council opened and closed a public hearing on Dec. 7 to formally close the CDBG 21-PW-016 Street Project. Tom Bliss, representing SENDD, reported that contractor Pavers has finished all street work in town and that the city received $435,000 from the Street Project Grant.
Bliss told the council he will provide final financial statements for the street project and for a related firetruck grant by the next meeting. The hearing recorded no public questions or comments and the council voted to close the hearing.
Council members said they expect the forthcoming final financials to document grant expenditures and closeout accounting; no further action was taken at the Dec. 7 meeting beyond the hearing closure.
