Dubois County approves ESRI septic-system mapping using grant-funded WTH data

Health Administrative Director Shawn Werner and WTH consultant Shawn Scott asked the commissioners to allow the county to use WTH mapping data in an ESRI system to build a septic-system layer. Werner said a grant will pay the expenses. Commissioners moved to migrate property record cards and property data into the ESRI mapping system to assist with septic systems; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
The mapping effort is intended to consolidate property records with geographic data to help the Health Department locate septic systems and support permitting and inspections. No county funds were requested at the July 6 meeting.
Next steps: Staff will proceed with the migration under the grant and report back to the board as needed.
