City hires CPH to relocate water line serving Lions Park; $107,460 task order approved

The Lake Alfred City Commission on June 22 approved Task Order No. 16 with CPH Consulting, LLC, to design and permit relocation of a water line serving Lions Park.
The project will extend about 250 linear feet of 6-inch water main along North Nekoma Avenue, cross the CSX railroad via a jack-and-bore, and connect to the system near the park entrance. The work is prompted by planned demolition and remediation at Growers Fertilizer. The approved task order covers survey, design, permitting and bidding at a cost of $107,460, to be paid from the Enterprise Fund.
Commissioners approved the task order unanimously and authorized the city manager to proceed with contracting and procurement steps. Staff said acceptance of construction-level work and related public-infrastructure deeds will occur after completion and formal inspection.
