The City of Pierre Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the consent calendar at its Jan. 13, 2026 regular meeting. Commissioner Lerseth moved to approve the consent items and Commissioner Huizenga seconded; the motion passed with all five members voting in favor.
The consent calendar included minutes from the Jan. 6 meeting, the Pierre Volunteer Fire Department 2026 roster and raffle requests for the Pierre Swim Team, OAHE Family YMCA and SDWP Employee Club. It also incorporated the claims docket, which lists vendor payments and city expenditures.
Notable claims included a TIF 6 Regency/Clubhouse property tax payment of $90,117.57, purchase of a CAT M255 compact track loader for $90,557.57, a $23,121.00 item to Wilbur Family Holdings, Inc., and a $18,670.72 invoice for a WWTP lamp kit from Trojan Technologies Group ULC. The claims list also includes routine operating charges for utilities, training, janitorial services and repairs.
The commission did not debate or amend the consent items during the meeting. With the vote recorded as unanimous, the approved items were folded into the city’s regular business without further action at that session.
The meeting record was signed by Finance Officer Lacey Walz and is to be published per the standard notice procedure.
