Council approves NDOT-required Handi Bus policy, authorizes surplus sale, and adjourns

At its Sept. 13 meeting the Broken Bow City Council approved several routine resolutions and wrapped up regular business.
The council approved Resolution 2022-13, adopting the City of Broken Bow Handi Bus Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy required by the Nebraska Department of Transportation. The council also approved Resolution 2022-14 authorizing the sale of surplus property to the public on Sept. 24, 2022, at the Broken Bow Police Building at 116 South B. Both resolutions passed on unanimous roll-call votes.
Earlier in the meeting the council had approved the consent agenda, which included the Aug. 23 minutes, bills to date (total listed as $502,389.11) and the Broken Bow Volunteer Ambulance Service roster. Mayor Rod Sonnichsen recognized Andy Holland for becoming an emergency medical technician. The council adjourned at 6:39 p.m.
