Councilmember Lena Kaczmarek presented the itinerary for the Car Cruise scheduled July 19, 2025: vehicle registration will be 9 a.m. to noon in the former 32 Taps Tavern parking lot, with a parade beginning at 1 p.m. traveling the full length of Monroe Street to Maxwell Road. Kaczmarek told the council that Mill Street will be closed from Monroe to Ash Street for vendor setups, and there will be a dance performance around 2:30 p.m. in front of the Hotel Bar.
Kaczmarek said tee shirts will be sold at the Hotel Bar, Wolf's Den Bar and at registration; additional fundraising will include raffles and a wooden American flag raffle made by Geiermann with tickets sold at the Hotel Bar. Live music is scheduled at Ash Park at 7 p.m., and fireworks at Ash Park will begin at 10 p.m. The council noted that Monroe Street will be closed briefly during the parade and that the Car Cruise organizers funded two new village waste containers now in place.
The council did not record further regulatory action on the event during the meeting; the Car Cruise remains an advertised community event organized by volunteers and local businesses.
