Mayor Collin Meints and councilors asked for the ordinance to proceed through the standard reading process so residents and stakeholders could review the proposal before any final action. The council did not adopt rates at the Feb. 7 meeting; further public notice and the subsequent readings will provide opportunities for additional public comment and for councilors to vote on any final changes.
The presentation did not include a final dollar amount or a detailed rate table in the minutes; the city clerk or consulting firm is expected to publish those specifics ahead of the Feb. 21 reading.
