Louisa County Board approves three subdivision actions and sells vacated Wyman alley to Agriland

The Louisa County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved three land-use resolutions and a sale at its July 15, 2025 regular session.
Resolutions 202534 and 202535 accepted final plats for two subdivisions: Ron Lanz Farms Subdivision and Suzie Hill Acres Subdivision. The resolutions state the plats were reviewed by the county zoning administrator and county engineer and found to conform with Louisa County ordinances and the county Comprehensive Plan. Each resolution was adopted by roll call with AYES recorded as Shawn Maine (chair), Kevin Hardin and Scot Hunt; Selena Gerst, 1st Deputy Auditor, attested the actions.
The board also approved Resolution 202536 vacating a 16-foot alley in the town of Wyman and proposing sale of the resulting parcel to Agriland FS, Inc. The resolution sets the sale price at $10,000 per acre for approximately 0.523 acres, a total of $5,230, and authorizes the chair and auditor to execute a quitclaim deed if the sale is completed. The board adopted the resolution by unanimous vote (Maine, Hardin, Hunt).
In other routine business the board approved claims for July 15, 2025 totaling $676,594.69, reviewed the sheriff’s quarterly report, authorized the county to sign an engagement agreement with Eide Bailly for the FY2025 audit, and accepted the treasurer’s semi-annual report.
No public input was offered during the Wyman alley public hearing; the board opened the hearing at 9:00 a.m. and closed it at 9:05 a.m. The meeting adjourned at 9:17 a.m.
