The Acushnet Board of Health on July 21 approved a revised septic-system plan for an Allison Drive property after board members concluded the project had been built as a four-bedroom home while the initially submitted design showed three bedrooms. The board also reviewed an enforcement order update for 12 Carol Street and directed the property owner to submit a plan by the next meeting.
Board members reviewed the Allison Drive submission and noted the original design had been prepared for a three-bedroom house but the structure was built with four bedrooms. The applicant’s engineer submitted a revised plan recalculating expected flow to 440 gallons per day. Committee member (S3) moved and the board voted to approve the plan with the changes. The chair said Health Agent Jennifer Galey could sign the permit now that she is on staff.
On 12 Carol Street, a committee member reported speaking with contractor Joe Spinola and that Webby Engineering had completed land surveying and set stakes; the board asked the owner to provide a written plan at the next meeting and voted to send a board letter to the property owner to prompt the engineer. The board set a target of roughly three weeks for the submission and carried the motion.
The board made no further permits or enforcement decisions at the meeting; it instructed staff to follow up with the engineer and property owner and to report progress at the next meeting.
