Pasadena rent-stabilization department schedules three public workshops this fall

Each session will be led by Helen Morales, director of the rent stabilization department, along with department staff, the department said. Sessions are scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. and will take place in the department’s 1st Floor Conference Room at 199 South Los Robles Avenue.
The department listed the specific topics and dates for the remaining workshops: Aug. 11 will focus on rent rollback and rent increases; Sept. 8 will focus on the annual rental registration; and Oct. 13 will focus on security deposits. The announcement said residents may attend in person or participate virtually via Zoom and that a link was provided with the notice.
The workshops are presented as an educational resource for landlords and tenants to better understand requirements and procedures under Pasadena’s rent stabilization program. The department did not specify whether registration is required or whether materials will be posted after each session.
