Council adopts two land-use ordinances; approves minutes, consent resolutions and bill list

Ordinance 19-2026 (amending land-use and animal-control chapters to establish deer-fencing regulations) was moved for adoption and seconded, saw no public comment and passed on second reading by roll call. Ordinance 20-2026 (revising home-occupation definitions to align with the township's 2024 master-plan reexamination) likewise was moved, seconded, had no public comment and passed on second reading by roll call.
Minutes and consent agenda: A motion to approve the July 7, 2026 public and closed-session minutes carried after roll call with two abstentions recorded. The council approved the consent resolutions (listed at the meeting as Nos. 271-280 series) and the bill list by roll call without discussion.
Executive session addition and adjournment: The council voted to amend the agenda to add an executive session to discuss attorney-client privileged police matters; no action was promised on return. After executive session the council returned, recorded the appropriate motions and adjourned the public meeting by unanimous voice vote.
