Addison Central board approves June/July warrants, personnel actions; staff gives regional CISA update

The Addison Central School District board approved multiple warrants and payroll warrants and accepted personnel actions during its July 20, 2026 meeting. Board member Jess Van Noble read the warrants in detail and moved to approve them.
Van Noble reported the following amounts from late June and early July: a June 29 general fund warrant of $532,927.66 and payroll warrant of $111,639.80; a June 30 general fund warrant of $133,469.28 and payroll warrant of $104,634.12; a July 10 general fund warrant read as $1,182,678.12; and a July 8 payroll warrant of $196,625.97. The board voted by voice to approve the warrants that were read.
Assistant Superintendent Neli Collazo outlined personnel items the board had before it: the district has filled a full-time, nonunion athletic trainer position and identified Peggy to cover a classroom teacher role after a late resignation. Collazo said the board was "really excited" about filling the athletic trainer role and noted the late resignation that prompted coverage arrangements. A motion to accept the appointments and resignations was approved by voice vote.
The board also heard a report on the newly formed regional coordinating body (referred to in the meeting as a CISA/CSA). A board member who led the update (introduced to the meeting as Wendy) said the first organizing meeting set a monthly schedule (third Friday), plans to join a statewide cohort, and will initially have Champlain Valley School District host a website. The presenter said districts are mindful of potential duplicate costs in standing up a regional structure and that the superintendent serves as each district's designee and voting member for the group.
The board approved its minutes from June 22, 2026, earlier in the meeting. With routine business complete, the board moved on to candidate interviews and then an executive session to consider a board appointment.
