Council President Darrell Westhoff moved to accept the consent agenda and Morgan Johnson seconded; the motion carried. Consent A listed purchases over $10,000 that were included in the appropriations total: $72,959.38 to the State Treasurer (GO Bond Series 2021 interest), $14,400 to JT Construction (front-office remodel half down payment), $33,895.28 to BCBS (insurance premium), $28,717 to KMEA/GRDA (operating account) and $24,773.20 to PWWSD #11 for water purchases.
The consent agenda also approved a number of routine personnel actions: merit or certification-based pay increases for Terry Wray and William Eddington; seasonal lifeguard appointments for Aydin Sisney, Weston Stafford, Ryder Stafford and Harrison Burke at $9.00 per hour (contingent on pre-employment paperwork); the appointment of Bradyn Hilderbrand as a part-time police officer at $20 per hour (contingent on paperwork); a $0.50 hourly raise for Blake Tyler after completion of KLETC and a positive six-month evaluation; and volunteer firefighter acceptances for Brody Sutton, Kenneth Atchison and Ryddr Grosstephan.
Separately, the council voted to appoint Suzy Chaffee and Casey Brown to the Girard Library Board for terms from May 2026 through April 2030 (motions by Morgan Johnson; seconded by Darrell Westhoff for Chaffee and by Lucas Stansbury for Brown; motions carried).
No roll-call vote counts were recorded in the public minutes beyond the notation that each motion "carried."
