The Girard City Council on April 20 approved its meeting agenda and a consent package that included Appropriations Ordinance 2026-08 totaling $737,268.49 and multiple seasonal hires.
On a motion by Council President Darrell Westhoff, seconded by Council Member Morgan Johnson, the council accepted the agenda as presented. The consent agenda passed on a motion by Darrell Westhoff, seconded by Morgan Johnson; the minutes record the motions as "carried." The appropriations ordinance lists purchases over $10,000, including Priority Power (development cost/fees for the solar project) for $533,649.18 and a KMEA EMP3 operating-account item for $82,168.00.
