Sandalwood Community Food Pantry lease: Council considered a proposed amendment to a long‑term lease for town‑owned property on Augusta Lane with Sandalwood Community Food Pantry. Staff said Sandalwood would invest roughly $1,000,000 in the facility; council previously approved a 15‑year term in June 2024, and the amended lease would extend that initial term to 40 years with two 5‑year renewals to help the nonprofit secure funding. After discussion and public comment, council voted 6–1 to extend the lease; one councilmember expressed concern about preferential long‑term leasing to a single nonprofit.
