Board recognizes Lady Cavalier softball and Cavaliers baseball for strong seasons

The board also recognized the Cavaliers baseball team for their best season since 2018, calling out program growth, a winning record and statewide recognition for players. Superintendent highlighted Sammy Whitaker’s state‑leading stolen‑base total (67, a school record) and other individual honors.
Coaches accepted the recognition and thanked parents and staff. The board then moved on to other business.
