Ben Terwilliger, director of the Eudora Historical Society and Museum, presented a bi‑annual report to the City Commission on March 9, highlighting growth in historic recognition and upcoming museum programs.
Terwilliger said Eudora now has 11 area properties on the National Register of Historic Places, up from one listing in 2011. He described rehabilitation work under way at 726 and 736 Main Street with the intent of preserving their 19th‑century characteristics and noted steady museum membership and social media engagement. Terwilliger also described his recent integration into the Parks and Recreation Department and a reorganization of his role within the city.
The commission received the report; no formal action was requested.
