Eudora City Commission approves agenda, consent items, proclamation and cleaning contract; public comment absent

The Eudora City Commission on Jan. 26 approved procedural and routine items, adopted a proclamation requested by a local nonprofit, and authorized a cleaning-services contract.
The Commission approved the meeting agenda as submitted; the motion was moved by Mayor Tim Bruce and seconded by Vice Mayor Alex Curnes and carried unanimously. The Commission then approved consent items covering the Jan. 12, 2026 meeting minutes; the December 2025 Police Department and People Service reports; Amendment #2 to the Foundations Commercial LLC brokerage agreement; authorization to purchase IT-related software; and the warrants for Jan. 9–21, 2026.
City Clerk Kelly Delay introduced a request from the Willow Domestic Violence Center to declare January 2026 Human Trafficking Awareness Month; the Commission approved that proclamation. The motion to adopt the proclamation was moved by Commissioner Jason Musick and seconded by Commissioner Roberta Lehmann and was adopted by a 5–0 vote.
The Commission also authorized the City Manager and staff to execute a cleaning-services agreement with City Wide, contingent on final contract review. That motion was moved by Commissioner Roberta Lehmann, seconded by Vice Mayor Alex Curnes, and carried unanimously.
