The Ellsworth-Kanopolis-Geneseo USD 327 Board of Education on Aug. 12, 2024 unanimously ratified the 2024–25 negotiated agreement with district staff. The vote was 6-0.
The agreement includes a change to the upcoming school calendar: one scheduled student contact day will become an in‑service day for staff, the board said. District officials described the calendar revision as part of the terms in the ratified agreement.
Board member David Hand moved to ratify the agreement; Brian Rush seconded. No public vote tally by individual member was recorded in the minutes beyond the unanimous outcome.
The board also conducted other routine business at the meeting, including approving personnel hires after an executive session and reviewing the proposed budget and enrollment projections.
The board will publish the proposed 2024–25 budget next week and will hold a revenue neutral rate hearing and a budget hearing at its next regular meeting on Sept. 9, 2024.
