Public Works Director Dan Merkh told the council the city plans to update its technical specifications and standard details to reflect lessons learned from local development and to provide clearer standards for developers. The scope covers streets, stormwater, sanitary sewer, water, streetlighting and other infrastructure items as they arise.
Staff recommended using the city's on-call agreement with BG Consultants to expedite the work because the City Engineer is already familiar with Edgerton's existing standards. The project will be billed on actual hours up to a not-to-exceed amount of $45,000. Merkh estimated the work would likely conclude in late 2025.
Councilmember Clay Longanecker moved to approve the agreement and Councilmember Bill Malloy seconded; the motion passed 4-0.
