The Eudora City Commission convened a special work session at City Hall on Jan. 26, 2026, for an orientation on municipal roles and meeting procedures. Mayor Tim Bruce confirmed a quorum and the session began at 6:00 p.m.
City Manager Zack Daniel conducted the orientation, reviewing the role of the governing body, the responsibilities of the city manager, and the duties of the mayor and vice mayor. Daniel also outlined schedules and procedures for regular City Commission meetings and explained voting procedures and how ordinances and resolutions are used by the commission.
The session included a briefing on the Planning Commission and upcoming projects affecting the city. City Clerk Kundy Kelly Delay supplemented the presentation with information about the Kansas Open Meetings Act and described the City Clerk's responsibilities related to meeting compliance and public records.
Mayor Bruce closed the work session at 6:50 p.m. The adjournment was moved by Vice Mayor Alex Curnes and seconded by Commissioner Roberta Lehmann; the motion carried 5-0. The minutes include a signature page signed by Mayor Tim Bruce and City Clerk Kundy Kelly Delay.
