Eastborough council approves landscaping contract, new intersection camera and printer purchase

Council approved a $24,960 annual contract with Johnson Legacy Landscapes to provide landscape services. The motion was moved by Richard Hostert and seconded by Jacque Arredondo.
On technology and public-safety equipment, Commissioner Andrew Standifer reported that VoIP phones are installed and that the council should move one camera and purchase a new intersection camera with larger storage. The council approved purchasing the new camera for up to $3,500 to be paid from police-department funds and directed moving the existing camera to a garage area. The council also voted to buy a Brother MFC color laser printer and toner for up to $1,200 rather than renewing the existing printer contract.
Police Chief James Welch later reported that e-ticketing is in testing, new cameras have been installed in police vehicles, and that 366,917 vehicles have been recorded passing the city's flock cameras. No additional procurement conditions or amendments were recorded in the minutes.
