Eastborough council approves side-yard garage variance at 50 S Mission, tables 65 Mission request

The motion to approve was made by Jacque Arredondo, seconded by Andrew Standifer, and passed unanimously.
On the related request at 65 Mission, Brecken Morel explained she wants to build a two-story garage but that Clarkitecture's review requires variances to reduce the front and side-street yard setbacks from 40 feet to 20 feet. Council members raised concerns about sight lines and the effect on neighborhood aesthetics and voted to table the item so members could visit the site and assess potential impacts. The motion to table was made by Andrew Standifer and seconded by Richard Hostert.
The approvals and the tabled action preserve council oversight while directing no immediate construction: the 50 S Mission variance is approved pending a boundary survey; the 65 Mission request remains under consideration pending site visits and further council discussion.
