The Metcalfe County Board of Education accepted its meeting schedule for January–June 2025 at the Nov. 12 session and heard a public comment urging greater public access.
Wes Jolly moved to accept the schedule (Jan. 14; Feb. 10; Mar. 11; Apr. 14; May 13; June 10, all at 6 p.m.); Daniel Glass seconded and the board voted 5–0 to adopt the dates.
During public comment, Kathy Thompson addressed the board on a topic described in the minutes as 'Academics vs Athletics' and requested that board meetings be broadcast live on television or online to broaden public access. The board did not take immediate action on the request during the meeting; the comment was recorded in the minutes for consideration.
