The Metcalfe County Board of Education on Dec. 10 approved special considerations intended to address MCES's Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) designation.
Rachel Dial (Instruction) reported that instructional teams have attended meetings at the Green River Regional Educational Cooperative (GRREC), reviewed data and are implementing tiered-intervention strategies. The district is piloting student capstone presentations and plans targeted instructional supports next year.
Wes Jolly moved to approve the special considerations for MCES's TSI status; Daniel Glass seconded and the motion passed 5-0. The board's approval authorizes staff to continue implementing the planned interventions and to report progress as appropriate.
