The Metcalfe County Board of Education on Nov. 12 approved change orders for the district athletic complex, including a contractor credit of $4,548.
Facilities director Matt Shirley had told the board the change order tied to action item 5C would produce a $4,548 refund to the district. Shirley also outlined current construction progress: sidewalks around the track are being poured so the track can be paved; lighting was expected the following day; turf is scheduled to be laid later in the month; goal posts were due to arrive shortly; and the storage/utility building under the bleachers was nearly complete. Projected overall completion was given as June.
Robin McMurtrey moved to approve the change orders; Daniel Glass seconded and the board voted unanimously (5–0). The board did not add conditions or amendments to the change orders during the meeting and instructed facilities staff to continue coordination with contractors.
