Golden Plains board approves Little Paws Daycare handbook as district reports full daycare roster

The USD 316 Board of Education approved the USD 316 Little Paws Daycare Handbook during its Sept. 9 meeting in Rexford and received an update that the district’s newly initiated daycare program currently has all spots filled.
The daycare update was given by Principal/Daycare lead Brandy Spresser, who said all Daycare spots are filled and that a Patterson Family Foundation grant applied for in April was not awarded; she told the board she will continue to pursue eligible grants to support the program. The board approved the daycare handbook with edits as presented (motion by Chad Focke, seconded by Melissa Wessel), vote 7-0.

The board also approved adult meal prices for 2025–26 and other consent items during the same meeting.
