Residents press council on graffiti cleanup and Fourth of July plans

Michael Gregory told the council he had completed the fireworks permit application for the July 4 event, secured signatures from the police chief and the Woodburn Fire District, covered the $100 submittal fee and said the fire district donated $100 and waived another fee. Councilors thanked the volunteers working on the cleanup and event and acknowledged budget and equipment constraints for the city’s event budget.
Council members repeatedly thanked volunteers and said staff would follow up on permitting and budget questions related to the July 4 celebration.
